Synergy Management Solutions, Inc. is a licensee of the TRUSTe Privacy Program. TRUSTe is an independent, non-profit organization whose mission is to enable individuals and organizations to establish trusting relationships based on respect for personal identity and information by promoting the use of fair information practices. This privacy statement covers the Site www.WageAccess.com. Because we want to demonstrate a commitment our users’ privacy, we have agreed to disclose our information practices and have our privacy practices reviewed for compliance by TRUSTe.

Synergy Management Solutions, Inc. is the sole user of the information collected on www.WageAccess.com. We only collect information that is required to provide you with the WageAccess® Compensation and Benefits Survey services. The WageAccess® Site has been designed so that you must make express, informed choices to use the services that ask for personal or confidential company information. If you are simply browsing our Site, we do not gather any such information from you.
It is important to understand that the objective of the WageAccess® Site is to collect confidential company pay-related data and report it in an anonymous aggregate form to other users of the Site. For the purposes of this privacy statement, when we speak of "confidential company information", we are referring to all company pay and other proprietary data collected on the WageAccess® Site. When we speak of "personal identifying information", we are referring to information about you in the context of your employment with your company. This information includes your name, job title, the address of your company, your company phone number and e-mail address. Whether it be personal identifying information, corporate information or confidential pay data, we consider all information that we collect through this Site to be equally confidential.
Synergy Management Solutions, Inc. collects confidential information from our users in several ways on our Site:
A session ID cookie is used to hold temporary data values during the user's current login session, and is deleted once a user closes their Internet browser.
A persistent cookie enables us to store users' preferences and data that control the operation of the site. By setting the persistent cookie on our Site, (1) users can bypass the Flash introduction page when logging in, and (2) prior user selections in certain navigation menus are automatically recalled. If users choose to reject the cookie, they may still use the Site; however, they will have to view the Flash introduction page each time they access the Site, and their position in certain navigation menus won't be stored and recalled. Persistent cookies can be removed by following Internet browser help file directions.
One of our business partners (Overture) uses a cookie on the WageAccess® Site to track web site usage resulting from an Overture-based web search. This cookie contains no personal or confidential company information, and WageAccess® has no access to, or control over, this cookie. This privacy statement covers the use of cookies by WageAccess® only and does not cover the use of cookies by any third parties.
Confidential information collected on the Site is not used for any purposes other than those directly related to the services the Site provides. In addition, we do not share this information with any other parties except those specified below:
We may, from time to time, enter into a marketing agreement with membership and other organizations. If you have subscribed to WageAccess® as a result of (1) membership in, (2) a relationship with, or (3) a promotion operated by, such an organization, we may share a portion of your personally identifiable information, such as name and email address, with that organization.
Should we have a similar marketing agreement with other organizations, your personally identifiable information will not be shared with any organizations other than the one with which you originally had a relationship.
In no case, however, will any of your compensation, salary or other employee-related data be provided to any third party intermediary.
All new WageAccess® subscribers receive a welcoming e-mail from the Site containing their username and password. We communicate with users via e-mail or telephone on a regular basis to provide requested services, offer new services, and inform them of issues relating to their account.
You may not opt-out of our welcome email containing your username and password or any email regarding a critical service issue. However, if you do not wish to receive other e-mail or telephone communications from WageAccess® regarding your account or any new services that we may offer, you may opt-out of receiving them by e-mailing the WageAccess® Customer Service Department at customerservice@wageaccess.com. Users can also opt-out by contacting us by telephone or postal mail at the contact information listed below.
The WageAccess® Site contains links to other sites. Synergy Management Solutions, Inc. is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage users to be aware when they leave our Site and to read the privacy statements of every web site that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by the WageAccess® Site.
Synergy Management Solutions, Inc. takes every precaution to protect our users' confidential information. When users submit sensitive information (such as pay data or credit card information) to the Site, their information is protected by Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption technology. While on a web page secured by SSL, the lock icon on the bottom of the web browser becomes locked, indicating that data to and from the web browser is being encrypted. In addition to using SSL encryption to protect confidential information online, we also take significant steps to protect users' information off-line. Access to all of our users' information is restricted in our offices. Only specific employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to users' confidential information. Furthermore, all employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices, and are frequently reminded of the importance we place on privacy, as well as what they must do to ensure users' information is protected. Finally, the servers that store users' confidential information are in a secure environment in a restricted access facility.

Corrections and updates to users' account information can be accomplished by accessing the "Account Information" page by following the "Account Info" link after the user has logged in to the Site. While our privacy philosophy will not change, the details of this privacy policy may change over time as we add additional services. Accordingly, please refer back to this page periodically. The date the policy was last revised will appear at the top of this policy page.
If we plan to use users' confidential information in a manner inconsistent with that stated at the time of collection of such information, we will notify users via e-mail. Active users will then have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner. Additionally, if we make changes to our privacy practices that do not affect user information already stored in our database in a material way, we will post a notice in a prominent location on the Site notifying users of the change. In some cases where we post such a notice, we may also e-mail users notifying them of the changes in our privacy practices.
In the event Synergy Management Solutions, Inc. undergoes a business transition wherein users' confidential company or personally identifiable information will be used in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection, users will be given a choice consistent with our Notification of Changes section.
